Carteles onco-¿lógicos?

El Centro Oncológico Regional es una venerable institución con sede en el barrio coruñés de EirÃs y que se dedica al tratamiento e investigación de la maldita plaga de nuestro siglo llamada cáncer. Esta mañana he tenido que entregar allà unas cajas de vasos y platos desechables y, mientras esperaba para ser atendido, me entretuve echando un vistazo a los peculiares letreros que colgaban en las paredes de la zona de almacenes. Éste que tienen en la cabecera es mi favorito. Obsérvenlo: una calavera nos advierte del riesgo de intoxicación debido a la presencia de sustancias tóxicas. Asà analizado, aparte de redundante, este cartel no tiene nada de curioso. Pero si nos fijamos un poco mejor (pinchen en la imagen para agrandarla), nos podemos dar cuenta de que la calavera que nos avisa del peligro se está partiendo de risa. Casi apostarÃa a que las referidas sustancias tóxicas no son más que cigarritos de la risa, y que nuestra amiga ”Huesitos” acaba de ventilárselos.
De este otro letrero lo que me llamó más la atención fue su naturaleza paradójica. La leyenda “Central de aspiración. Prohibido fumar” no puede resultar más contradictoria. Vamos a ver, ¿para qué demonios se reserva una zona para aspirar, si luego no se permite fumar?. Aunque se me está ocurriendo que lo de aspirar igual va por el lado de recoger la porquerÃa, y entonces lo de no permitir los pitillos y su correspondiente ceniza va tomando cierto sentido. Y si todavÃa contextualizamos más esta prohibición, y tenemos en cuenta que nos hallamos en un hospital contra el cáncer, ya ni les cuento.
Por último, les muestro estos dos carteles casi gemelos que inciden también en la prohibición del tabaco. Esta vez, el motivo es la existencia de una central de oxÃgeno y otra de nitrógeno, que, aún no sabiendo muy exactamente lo que son, por lo que se ve, no parecen hacer demasiadas buenas migas con la nicotina y el alquitrán. En todo caso, parece lógico, ¿no?. Aunque lo que suena más extraño es la segunda prohibición que incluyen, la de “usar grasas“. ¿A qué se refieren?. ¿Acaso se trata de vedar esas zonas a la gente gorda con michelines?. ¿O es que los trabajadores del centro oncológico acostumbran a embadurnarse de aceite para entrar en esos depósitos con la esperanza de coger un poco de colorcito?. Porque pensar que acudan a esos almacenes para untarse ciertas partes con mantequilla e imitar a Marlon Brando en “El último tango en ParÃs”, da repelús con sólo imaginarlo. Aunque quizá sea todo más sencillo, y simplemente se estén refiriendo a algo tan veraniego como la poca conveniencia de preparar churrascadas en lugares atiborrados de gases.
Bueno, ¿qué les han parecido?. Tienen su punto divertido estos letreros, ¿no?. A mÃ, al menos, consiguieron hacerme sonreÃr. Lo cual tiene un gran mérito, si tenemos en cuenta la naturaleza dramática del lugar en el que me topé con ellos. Y es que puestos a escribir sobre asuntos tan delicados casi resulta más sano tomárselos con un poco de humor…negro.
