O Burgo: nuevas rotondas, viejos atascos

El breve tramo (apenas 700 metros) que atraviesa O Burgo en dirección Almeiras por la antigua carretera a Santiago, o hacia Cambre y San Pedro de Nos, cruzando la rÃa, origina frecuentes retenciones de tráfico, especialmente en horas puntas. Con la buena intención (imagino) de acabar de una vez por todas con estos continuos atascos, el ayuntamiento de Culleredo decidió efectuar una profunda remodelación de esta vÃa, sustituyendo semáforos por rotondas, y cambiando, también, un buen numero de sentidos y direcciones. Lamentablemente, a veces, los buenos propósitos no bastan para solucionar las cosas.
Hoy era el primer dÃa laborable en el que entraba en vigor esta restructuración del tránsito, y vean con lo que me encontré cuando regresaba hacia Almeiras de un pequeño reparto en A Coruña. Si se fijan en la foto de cabecera, me estoy acercando hacia la primera rotonda en el cruce de Acea de Ama, y ya hay una considerable aglomeración de vehÃculos. Las tres imágenes de encima de este párrafo reflejan secuencialmente el lento circular de mi furgoneta por este primer punto conflictivo.
Ya estamos entrando en O Burgo, y se divisa una nueva rotonda. A pesar de lo que parece en la fotografÃa del medio, el tráfico no ha mejorado en absoluto, y sigue igual de espeso que antes. Dejado atrás, en plan tortuga, este segundo obstáculo, apenas 100 metros más adelante, nos topamos con una isleta que impide el desvÃo hacia el “paraguas” obligándonos a superar una tercera e irregular plazoleta, justo en el cruce con la carretera que viene de Vilaboa.
Sobrepasado este lugar, el tráfico vuelve a ser razonablemente fluido. Han pasado casi quince minutos desde la primera imagen a la última. Un tedioso cuarto de hora para recorrer menos de 1 km. Y ni siquiera era todavÃa hora punta. Ya ven, a pesar de las obras, nada ha cambiado, todo sigue igual. O si me apuran, incluso peor.

Me comento a mí mismo.
Hoy va mejor la cosa. Sobre todo en sentido Almeiras-A Coruña. El tráfico es mucho más fluido y se ahorra bastante tiempo.
A ver si sigue así.
Pues yo he ido un dia de la semana pasada, con bastante prisa, sobre la una de la tarde, y como no sabía lo de las rotondas nuevas, me estaba poniendo de los nervios, porque no conseguía saber por qué no avanzaba aquello.
Fatal, Fatal.
Pero es que este tema me pone nerviosa.
Viví 5 años en Aceadama y tenía que venir a trabajar a Coruña. Nunca comprendíi por qué no se utiliza un tren de cercanías teniendo la vía y la estación allí mismo! creo que los trenes de cercanías funcionan muy bien para comunicar las ciudades colindantes con otra más grande, ejemplos tenemos en Europa, pero claro, si no se lleva el coche a Coruña, dejarían de tener sentido tantos aparcamientos subterraneos como gruyère, porque todo lo que se solucionaría con un buen servicio de transporte público, ha tratado de solucionarse con aparcamientos. Y no sé cuando la mancomunidad de municipios del área Coruñesa adoptarán unas políticas de transporte realmente inteligentes, y se dejan de pan para hoy y hambre para mañana!
No quiero pensar en la corrupción, pero hasta he llegado a pensar que hay intereses económicos para que las cosas no se solucionen!
Te doy la razón, sobre todo en lo del tren. Pero claro, si para cogerlo hay que ir a la estación de san Cristobal, ya casi nos vale la pena seguir hasta Fonteculler. ¡Si el tranvía llevase a alguna parte!
Si, claro, tal como está montado el transporte público urbano en A Coruña ahora, ciertamente los trenes de cercanías no mejorarían mucho el asunto. Naturalmente todo pasa por una previa infraestructura de autobuses que partiesesn cada pocos minutos desde una “parada multicombinatoria” situada allí mismo. Y el carril solo-bus para autobuses, taxis y vehículos comerciales de reparto, debidamente acreditados
