Hoy amaneció un dÃa precioso, asà que me alegré un montón cuando supe que mi ruta de reparto incluÃa, en su etapa final, a esta localidad costera. Aunque pertenece al municipio de Oleiros, Santa Cristina es una penÃnsula casi pegada a La Coruña ciudad, y es lo más parecido a Benidorm o a Marbella que nos podemos permitir la gente de barrio, la venida a menos, o ambas, como, lamentablemente, es mi caso.
Como pueden ver, está rodeada de mar por casi todas partes, y entre playa, costa y rÃa, hay una estrecha lengua de tierra ocupada por chalets, apartamentos, hoteles, restaurantes y otros locales de ocio, en su mayor parte. Sorprendentemente (alguna ventaja tenÃa que tener el brumoso clima gallego), todavÃa no está atiborrada de alemanes de tono cangrejo disfrutando de su aireada playa y de su no menos agitada vida nocturna.
Yo, que estoy hace tiempo retirado de todo lo que huela a vacación y diversión, me conformo con disfrutar de los rincones con los que me topo en mi trabajo, que aunque no son tan conocidos, a veces poseen el mismo o mayor encanto. Vean si no “La Casa de Chico Marques“, ubicada en la plaza de Charles Darwin, y a sólo unos pocos metros de “CarnicerÃa Julio y Mary“, el verdadero objetivo de mi breve visita a esta bonita localidad turÃstica.
