Ultramarinos El Mundo

Espero que no se enfaden mis otros clientes, pero no se me ocurre mejor forma de inaugurar esta selección de pequeños comercios coruñeses que con esta veterana pero encantadora tienda de alimentación.
“Ultramarinos El Mundo” tiene su local en la avenida de Finisterre, lindando casi con la céntrica Plaza de Pontevedra. En él podrán adquirir auténticas delicatessen con denominación de origen y con las que, difÃcilmente, se toparán en los lineales de los supermercados de las grandes cadenas. Toñito, que asà se llama la persona que, junto a su madre (espero, por mi bien, no equivocarme en el parentesco), lo regenta, se esmera en seleccionar para sus clientes los mejores productos de las huertas y costas de nuestro paÃs. Bueno, y de las Islas Feroe, pues de ahà se trae, creo, el exquisito bacalo que vende. Pinchando en las fotos que adjunto podrán contemplar mejor esta muestra aleatoria pero significativa del género que encontrarán en este añejo establecimiento.
Pero al margen de estas bondades que, les confieso, mi paladar todavÃa no ha tenido el gusto de poder comprobar, lo que me ha decidido a escoger este comercio como el más idóneo para empezar esta serie de reseñas, ha sido la estética del local. Y no me refiero solamente a la visual, que, como estarán comprobando, nos retrotrae unas cuantas décadas en el tiempo, sino también a la que afecta a los otros cuatro sentidos.
VisÃtenlo y embriáguense de su evocador aroma y de los sonidos de los prácticos consejos que los propietarios acostumbran a repartir entre su familiar clientela. Pero, sobre todo, gocen de la textura y sabor de los variopintos artÃculos que allà encontrarán a su disposición. Pero, eso sÃ, esto último, háganlo en su casa y tras haber visitado religiosamente a Toñito que, como pueden observar, les espera a ustedes y a sus carteras, con los brazos abiertos, junto a la caja registradora del establecimiento. No tarden, no sea que se queden sin ese milagroso aceite para la artrosis, que, según parece, está ahora de oferta. Es mano de santo. Palabra.
